I was recently invoved in a group show along with several other members of Cork Printmakers at The Bluewall Gallery in County Cavan.‘Tales from the Road’ was a rich and well-crafted collection of printed works by myself, Heike Heilig, Debbie Godsell, Peter McMorris, Eimear Jean McCormack and Paul La Rocque. Between us we used a wide range of printmaking techniques to reveal imagery suffused with broad notions of journeying, environment and culture. This show offered an abundance of contextual material for navigation, akin to voyaging uncharted territory, bridging real and virtual worlds, testing undefined narratives and reconsidering the familiar.
