Painting is Wendy’s primary artistic practise and her passion in life.
Though she prefers to work on primed and gessoed board, Wendy occasionally uses canvas and has painted on paper. The solidity of the hard surface under her brushes and palette knives works well with her style. Wendy usually uses acrylics and graphite; drawing and line are central elements. Much of the work reflects Wendy’s experience of living in West Cork and her response to the people, history and traditions of the rural west of Ireland.
